i got home from work yesterday and mike said today was going to be my pretend birthday. i was ok with that. we were both super sore from running and it was the only day we could do this.

so he hides my presents around the apt. he gave me the 2nd season of that 70s show, and then Spiderman-2. woo hoo. im excited.

After that we went to Ponce's. The BEST mexican food place ever! When we got there, a guy from mike's work, well he used to be from his work, was there. We met up with him, decided to sit with him, because he was alone, and it would be fun. So, turns out this guys roommate works there, so she hooked us up. I got a margarita, which is exactly what i wanted for my real birthday. it was soo good. mmm. and it was super strong. weird. glad i wasnt driving.

after that we got things to make me a cake. woo hoo. white cake with dark chocolate frosting. mmmm. Then we made it at my place, and mike set up this projection thing, so we got to watch spiderman 2 basically in theater setting in my own house. awesome.

after that i went right to sleep. i slept through part of spiderman, actually. oops. oh well. i was soo tired, it was ridiculous.

I had a lot of fun, and am happy with it. Im glad he didnt dissapoint me. although i wont be surprised if he forgets to call me on my real birthday while he is brazil. geez.

Im really excited about my real bday, im going with molly to see bright eyes and the faint on june 11th, note, im 21 on june 12th. so... we are going to watch that, and then once 12 hits, im going to buy a drink and drink it, in honor of my bday and conor oberst's alcoholism. hahah. also, earlier that week molly and i are going to watch tegan and sara, which im super stoked about also. woo hoo.

today has been pretty lame. i got at least 6.5 hours of sleep last night. blah. worked my first job, which was ok. no diabete's testing this time. then went to class. the class sucked, but i feel bad because the teacher is a nice guy, i just dont care for the subject, or at least the manner in which he explains it. And then i went to kpbs work, which i am at right now. i have done about 5 minutes of work so far.

my boss asked me about her maternity leave and how i will be helping. i had to tell her i wont be helping her as much as i thought i could before. i will be taking 18 units, and working 2 jobs, im not tacking on more hours. i really hope i can keep the web job, crossing my fingers.

also, i want to finish school as soon as possible, because im planning to move to orange county or something after i graduate. if the whole mike thing works out, which i hope it does. but when i talked to mike about this, he brought up how i could always just take a one night a week class there, or maybe 3 and stay with someone?? and then still live in orange county. i think its possible. we will see how it works out.

mike still seems very intent on staying together once he moves. it just makes me nervous because he broke up with his last 2 yr relate gf cuz he was moving. but it was from houston to san diego, and thats FAR, and this is not. only 2 hours, tops. whatever. not a big deal. i like driving, esp in my new car.

and i have an hour more to waste here. i have no idea what to do. how to waste it. i want to go home. when i go home im going to eat dinner, buy water and laundry detergent and get change for laundry. then, im going to do laundry and work out. then crash out. mike is working tonight, so i wont see him until he wakes me up tonight, which prob wont be until 1230 or later. he leaves soon, and im sad.

as much as i want this week to be over with, i dont want him to leave. but i know once he leaves i will want the days to move by VERY quickly. at least by the time he gets back i will almost be done with my comm class, and then onto my women in literature book.
